This is of course according to my parents. I just had two non boyfriends from years past contact me. One claiming that he "had to write about one of the most life-changing events of my (his) life in my English class, and the biggest one was meeting you (me)," and the other, after five years, "saw you (me) in target and just had the urge to call, and see how you are, maybe we could hang out again." My parents have accused me of bewitching and using cruelly. I ask, what is new?

Crazy Week!

So this week has been loads of fun and loads of not fun at the same time. So Monday, Fantasmic rain, and thunder and lightening storm! Evan and I played in the rain and were beyond soaked. The parking lot outside Moore Hall has no drainage system so we found out why its named the lagoon. I jumped in with my Galoshes on and was up to m calf in water and had I not already been soaked to the skin I would have been after that. We went and got hot chocolate at Jazzmans(which was really funny because we were litterally dripping all over the carpet) then we went back inside and got dried off and watched a Marx brothers movie and went to sleep. But the thunder that night was absolutely determined to keep everyone awake! One thunderclap was so loud you could feel it and you could hear the whole campus jerk awake. Note: this whole time the sever weather sirens did not start. We woke up at nine in the morning on a beautiful Tuesday morning to sever weather sirens and the RC knocking on the door telling everyone to get down stairs to the basement, someone had spotted a funnel cloud in Kentucky. So an hour late to costumes and I find out I've pinned my garment all wrong and have to start over again. shortly after that we leave on the Simpson trip. (An all day trip to Louisville to see professional theatre) We saw the Crucible, but I got sick. Sore throat, leaky eyes, headache, the whole bit. Got home at about midnight and found out that all the poor UE students that weren't with us had to go down to the basement 4 more times that day. After that I fell asleep on Kassie and Jerica's floor because I didn't want to wake up my room mate. Wednesday: I hardly remember wednesday, it flew past like a dream. I do know that I'm making out with Michael Caine (YEs we have a michael Caine, we also have a Meg Ryan) in a directing scene. We were rehearsing Wednesday and it was so awkward because we were both sick, pantimiming this scene, trying our darnest not to laugh with everyone else. So funny. Skipped dinner to sleep because I didn't feel well. Woke up, went to Kassies to cuddle (yeah we're UET's favorite non lesbian couple, guys have begged us just to hug in front of them nd they go away happy) and watch A Beautiful Mind, Tarzan and Maid in Manhatten. Then I visited the boy and we talked about life, the universe and Everything. I do like that boy. And that brings us to today. Still sick, garment still pinned wrong, scarf for Drew still not done, weather sunny and below 40 but well rested after a 3 hour nap.

So it's definately been a momentous week. Of course the capstone of said weeek was the tornado that touched down right here in Evansville Indiana. So far its been called the deadliest tornado in 30 odd years or something like that. Just in case you were wondering, I am fine, it touched down on Greenriver road and the Loyd expressway, a few miles from UE (
I think, no car, I don't explore the area much). They got us all down in the basement which started flooding. However we are all alright here at UE, but there are many people injured and dying in Evansville, so if you're prayers could be with them, I'm sure they would be welcome.

I'm coming more and more to realise that University is nothing like High School. Now we all look around and say "No shit Shirlock" but honestly its true. Over that past 3 days I have spent around 6 or 7 hours with various Senior boys discussing life, Excestentialism, the 4 types of love, theatre, suicide and the desperate state of man, male and female relationships in the workplace and society as a whole, religion, the purpose or lack there of in life, various playwrites and their merits, and only once with these men, who I know find me attractive, did the subject of sex come up. Now you say oh ho! There is the rub, but no it was in reference to how unfortunate it is that people get so wrapped up in the drama of sexual relationships and miss so many opportunities to learn their craft. For once it is possible to have a serious conversation on the same level, with more or less the same understanding or education. It was incredible. I was suddenly shocked with the realisation that these people and these early morning dialogues are what will define me most as a student in the years to come and as a person and an actor. Its just so cool to see my philosophies and ideas being shaped and being aware of it. That is another reason why I enjoy being the only sober person in a group. People say the most amazing things when they are drunk. Its fun just to listen really.

So I've had an interesting week... I found a lump on my spine and so I went to the doctor here. The Nurse practitioner saw me and looked at the lump and says "Does it hurt?"
Me: "Nope"
Her: "oh... no numbness in your legs?"
Me: "No"
Her: "Well I don't know what this is, let me make some calls..."

Over the couse of the following ten minutes she came in three times to look at it saying "Hmm, Oh, that's interesting" Finally:

Her: "Well I don't know what that is. I've called the doctor and the hospital and you need to go get exrays right now. I'd like for you to get a catscan as well but just the xrays for now.
Me: But I have rehearsal in an hour

So I find myself an hour or so late for rehearsal... Next day I go to the doctor again. Fortunately the lump isn't attached to my spine. They are 90% certain that it is a cyst and that it isn't cancerous and that I can wait til christmas break to have it removed. So that is good.

So I can't find any of my rings and that includes my promise ring... I feel so vulnerable

I've also been getting dizzy spells and stomach aches alot.

Oh and the theatre department is dying my hair brown.

So basically Everyone gets dressed up as "White trash" and acts like "white trash." You bid on the upperclass groups that you want to go tp prom with and depending on how well you emulate the theme they decide whether they want to match your bid or half your bid or tell you to fuck off. To combat the ever rising realization that I miss you and I won't be seeing you for aa while which makes me miss you evan more, I have made a list of amazing things to do here (and other places too of course).
1) Go jogging earlyish in the morning while it still isn't too hot (but I swear there is no end of humidity) and getting all sweaty
2)Taking a cold shower after said activity. MMMMMMM feels so nice
3)Water ballon fights in sprinklers on a hot humid day
4)Calling the boys downstairs to let them know that after said muddy water balloon fight the girls are having a communal shower and seeing how quickly they can get up 3 flights of stairs. ^_^
5)Getting all sexy like to go to a dance.
6) Dances in dark rooms with loud music and crazy lights and dancing to the point of exhaustion and getting sweaty (good excuse for a shower)
7) Dissappointing the international boys (ie: India, napal, saudi arabia, texas...) that I don't ass dance thank you very much. ^_^ (they are really sweet guys though)
8)Hanging with old friends
9) Watching the goonies!!!!!!
10) Laying on a blanket with a friend of the opposite sex who has no intentions beyond friend, staying up half the night talking/arguing
11) Hard core Ballet to rock music.
I love my life.

Now all couples love
but you two seem to be perfect for each other.
You hardly fight, you're not afraid to show
your feelings in public, and you understand
each other. That's not to say you don't have
your bumpy points in the road. You may have
huge arguements but you never get over each
other and you put each other first no matter
what. If you mess up you try to see what was
wrong and try to improve it.

What Kind Of Couple Are You And Your Partner?
brought to you by Quizilla

~*~Result nr 11~*~

Your power is: Transportation

Explanation: To simply matters you can,
all in all, transport your way to places. This
helps you get to places faster and be more
efficent. In combat that is also good since
your enemy will not know where you are and you
can get suprise attacks on him/her. For evil
purposes you can break in to bancs etc and rob
places. For good purposes you can save people
kidnapped in places (if you know where they
are) etc.
As a person you are always on the go and don't
like not having anything to do. You see boredom
as useless and try to avoid it. Therefor you
have many friends that can keep you occupied.
Other characteristics are that you're a nice
and easy-going person, and maybe even popular.
You are impulsive, energetic and just someone
looking for a fun time and adventures. People
can't be bored with you.
Negative aspects: You have a tendancy to
not stick with people and can get enemies when
you're not loyal. You can also back-talk people
which will make you less liked.

What Power is Compatible With You?
brought to you by Quizilla

I have never been so fucking scared as I was today. Natalie can attest to this, this is the sort of things you see in horror films. This all began yesterday when I parked by the Bank of America in order to go to Albertsons. Well its getting late and knowing that Natalie is working and will probably need a ride home I walk up 5 stores to go to TJMaxx, as far away as I could get from my car. Natalie did indeed need a ride so I hung out and waited for her to get of work, at ten at night. It is dark and raining but still warm. It was one of those odd evenings that can either be refreshing or unsettling. Finally after waiting outside for fourty five minutes natalie's boss lets her go. As we are walking back to my car on the other side of the shopping complex a man begins to follow us. so we change or course, walking in an entirely new direction he keeps following us. we look back and there he is in his baggy blue sweatshirt, looking gaunt and dirty. We change directions again, picking up our pace heading straight for my car. He walks faster as if to catch us and we broke into a run gaining the car and looking back and he has turned away, back to his own business again. We sit in the car, laughing uneasily, after locking the doors behind us. We thought that that was that and we would likely not see him again. This was not the case. Natalie, Benny, and I spent the day celebrating Benny's birthday today, and around teo this morning Natalie and I left Benny's house. I was to drop Natalie off at her house before going home to mine. We set out down Woodinvile-duvall and natalie points out how remarkable the moon looks. It hung in the sky, shining cold light from behind horizontal bars of dark cloud. I remarked to her that the moon was a sinister one, and was about to say that something bad was going to happen soon, but I decided that was too frightening, didn't want to jinx my night. We are finally approaching one of the last turns before natalie's house when we see there is something on the side of the road. This something is fairly large and obscuring the white line on the side of the road by the stop sign. We tried to see it, it was obviously moving bust seeing as the lamp that usually illuminates that area was out we couldn't. A wave of foreboding washed over us as I flicked on the highbeams. He was there, walking, with his back to us, but just like a horror movie when the lights flicked on he turned slowly to face us, face reflecting the light, eyes flashing. Impulsively we reached for the locks as we came to a stop right next to him. I don't remember what I was did, but I remembered Natalie pleading in a near hysteric voice, "Don't stop, please don't stop, Keep going Helen!" So I went, without checking for other cars I made the last turn, catching one more view of him threough my window. Both of us were so scared we imagined he had actually managed to get in the car, or that perhaps he had gotten on the roof of the car. We drove as fast as we could to her house never pausing. It was terrifying

No more ducks

Yup today was interesting. Did lots of hw... and then I got all sad and depressed which was silly and then I went on a "date." In other words I went on a pre-arranged outing with a person of the male gender. We went to Barns and Noble and then to Woodin to play on the swings. But it really wasn't a date. I like having guy friends I'm not attached to. It's nice... and a whole new experience. Yup and then I passed down the Ducks. 47 ducks went to next years Sophmore Sitter, a soon to be senior named Heather Olsen who was thrilled and displayed them immediately in the back of her car. Of course I still have more, like my devil ducks that signify important things in my life and important friends, like my seattle duck. But its weird not to see them in my rear view mirror any more.

The show went really well last night! IT was crazy and funny and had sin in it! sorry Scotland joke. Yeah so Tara has gotten into rugby and so she had bruses all up and down her arms, so we were all laughing back stage that her "husband" was beating her. Oh yeah and thanks to Nora and Natalie (yes I did here about your little meaness natalie) I went to the show wearing a catholic school girl outfit. ITs amazing how differently people treat you when your wearing that. The girls all say "OMG you look like Brittany Spears pre-skank" and all the guys... well yeah. Oh the show sold out last night! Every seat filled and 100 people on a waiting list outside. We outsold "grease" which has the previous record for ticket sales.
